FAQ-Website
Q: What does "Aeriform" mean?
Aeriform: adj 1: resembling air or having the form of air [syn: airlike] 2: characterized by lightness and insubstantiality; as
impalpable or intangible as air.
Q: Why that name?
Unlike Mr. Beat "Billy" Bilang, my last name, "Perez de Tejada" does not lend itself well as a memorable web address, so I picked
out a name that I thought would appropriately represent the sport in a metaphorical sense, plus it sounds cool, plus I like it. I
realize of course "Aeriform" isn't exactly memorable either... you like it, too.
Q: Who made this site? / Who runs this site?
I did. My name is Daniel Perez de Tejada, aka "Ambitrixterous," I made it by writing minimal HTML code in Microsoft Notepad,
then I re-made the entire thing using Yahoo! Sitebuilder and got the exact same result, only it was waaaaay easier and rounded
out some of the edges that I missed. I am not a computer person. I fight with them on a daily basis.
Q: Why was this site created?
Martial Arts Tricking is my passion, it is my life, and I want to share it with everyone. So many people are catching on to this
wonderful sport and coming up with so much new material, the sport is finally ready for the next step. It's time to organize the
sport, define the rules, create the boundaries, share the knowledge, and bring it out to the rest of the public so that everyone can
share in the experience that is Tricking! Through this site I hope to provide that organization and also showcase the talents of the
hardworking individuals who are pushing the physical capabilities of the human body beyond the limit.
Q: Who says you get to make the rules?
While I do not claim to be the authority on the sport, I AM the only person who can say he's taught himself over 90% of the tricks
out there on both sides. Throughout this experience I have learned much, perhaps more than anyone else about exactly how tricks
and tricking work, and here I have compiled what I believe to be the general community's understanding (although this is very
difficult because to trickers in one area may implement a rule that is as solid as ground to them and yet might be a completely
foreign concept to trickers elsewhere!) Beyond that, I have included my own perspective on the areas I felt needed improvement.
Q: How did you come up with this stuff?

Some of it is some combination of things I've read/seen/heard from other trickers either around my hometown, on the Internet, or
during my travels. The vast majority of it however is information I've spent hours obsessing over and I believe only came to me for
two reasons; 1. I have had to learn just about every trick and combo I've learned at least twice. 2. I spend literally ALL my free
time tricking or watching & analyzing tricks. When I'm injured or sick or cannot trick for whatever reason, I ONLY study trikcs. I
suppose some portion of my time must be devoted to eating or sleeping, but I haven't noticed any of that lately.
